Fujii Kaze’s third album “Prema” was released on September 5th.
I had been eagerly waiting for the music videos to drop on YouTube that day.
And when I watched them—the message hit me straight in the heart.
I bought the vinyl, though now I’m starting to think maybe I should’ve gotten the signed CD instead…
But really, every single track is amazing.
His performance on Music Station (Japanese TV program) was absolutely stunning.
I’ve been listening to the album every day, and my favorite track is “You.”
(“Prema” itself is tied for first place!)
I usually listen on YouTube or Spotify.
🎧 I Bought the Vinyl… But I Don’t Have a Record Player
Yes… I bought the vinyl, but I actually don’t own a record player.
I considered getting one, but my apartment is small and I don’t really have the space for it.
So I still haven’t bought one.
To be honest, I don’t even have a CD player either.
If I wanted to listen to a CD, I’d have to use my DVD player.
That’s how much the times have changed.
For now, the vinyl is displayed on my desk—and it makes me happy just to look at it.
🌿 A “Prema” Released at 27
Kaze mentioned he wanted to release this album while he was still 27.
He even said, “Until this comes out, I’m staying 27.”
(He’s a June baby.)
But you know, 27 is also the age of the so-called “27 Club” for musicians,
so I was honestly worried about him.
I’m so relieved he safely turned 28.
✨ His Spiritual Messages… and My Worries
Kaze’s message and music are always deeply spiritual.
Because of that, I sometimes worried he might get misunderstood or receive backlash from certain people.
And during his tour, there was uncertainty in the US because of government budget issues affecting flights.
The thought of him flying under those circumstances honestly made me nervous.
I’m so relieved that everything went smoothly and the tour finished safely.
🎤 I Went to the Los Angeles Concert!
I went to his Los Angeles performance in August!
I also went last year—and both times, getting tickets was incredibly hard.
Last year, my seat was far away and I could barely see him.
This year I was closer, but…
the person in front of me was really tall, so my view wasn’t exactly clear.
Still, the atmosphere and his voice were amazing.
Being there in person was worth everything.
🌸 A Happy Reunion
For the second year in a row, my friend—also a huge fan—came all the way from San Francisco.
We hadn’t seen each other in a long time, so being able to meet again and enjoy Kaze’s music together was really special.
Fujii Kaze’s music has a mysterious way of bringing peace and clarity to the heart.
“Prema” feels like a pure expression of who he is right now.
I know I’ll be listening to this album again and again.
